Reconciliation Ministry Grant Proposals Due

  • Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 1099 North Meridian Suite 700 Indianapolis, IN 46204 United States (map)

Reconciliation Ministry is welcoming grant proposals for Pro-Reconciliation/Anti-Racism programs and projects for the 2020 cycle. Proposal will be received until January 31, 2020. Notification of awards will be by April 15th, 2020.  Please note:  Congregations and individuals are strongly encouraged to apply for funding through their Regional Office. The guidelines for grant proposals can be found here: https://reconciliationministry.org/resources

Key components of successful a project include: adherence to the grant proposals guidelines in succinctness, anti-racism focus, attention to comparable fundingproject sustainability, and people served by the project's implementation.  It is helpful to understand General Reconciliation grants are awarded as ‘seed money’ for ongoing racial reconciliation and anti-racism programs in your ministry service context.

Successful proposal from the 2019 granting cycle included a program beginning a documentary series addressing bridging trauma awareness and healing with group process and theological study resources in the Greater Kansas City Region, a dismantling white supremacy book read and board of directors training and engagement in Disciples Home Missions, and theological resource development with Constructive Theologians Project hosted by Disciples Divinity House Chicago.

We are excited to receive your proposals and we solicit your prayers for successful 2020 Reconciliation Ministry grant funded programs.

Sincerest regards,
April Johnson
